"I painted this from a plant purchased at an Orchid show. The man who originally bred this plant named it after his wife. Orchids are said by some to represent rare beauty, love, and refinement. I was attracted to painting it because of the beautiful, unusual, tropical colors of the blossom. This Cattleya Orchid blooms last a long time and are a pleasure to look at and live with inside the home. This painting has been purchased." |
