Story of the Painting "I painted this from a Cymbidium plant in my garden. The bloom stalk had many blooms on it, but I wanted to concentrate on the beauty of one blossom. It takes time and care to slow down to really look at and study a flower — its form and colors. I wanted to share the beauty I saw with others. Cymbidiums come in a variety of colors and are easy to grow outdoors in pots in many parts of the country. The blooms are very long lasting. Orchids have an interesting history. The meanings of orchids include love, beauty, luxury and strength. This painting has been purchased."
