"I grew this flower from a bulb. It was a large, beautiful indoor plant and I enjoyed looking at it and painting it. Amaryllis is said to be associated with the star sign Aries, being passionate, adventurous and enthusiastic. The Amayllis is said to mean splendid beauty or pride in the language of flowers. The word Amaryllis is also said to mean "sparkling." They are easy to grow and spectacular house plants. In some warm areas, they can be grown outside. This painting has been purchased." |
